About me
Hi. My name is Jenni. I am a fully qualified Government Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) and I am passionate about road safety. My goal is to train drivers not just to pass their tests, but to be safe drivers for life. Many people prefer to learn with a female driving instructor for various reasons but there are comparatively few of us on the ADI register.
I became a driving instructor because I enjoy working with people rather than computers. I wanted a job that would allow me to meet and work with a variety of people as well as to use and develop my own skills. I have always enjoyed driving and also have experience teaching in a church setting. Teaching came fairly naturally to me and when I told people that I was thinking of becoming a driving instructor several of them commented that I would make a good instructor because I am a patient person. I enjoy giving driving instruction and helping people to become good drivers.
There is nothing like the buzz that you get seeing your student's driving improve, and being a part of that process. It's a real joy to see people pass their tests and gain the independence that comes with a full UK driving licence.
I was fortunate to be trained by LDC in the latest adult coaching and training techniques so you can be assured the training I give will be of the highest standard. I use the LD System of Driving Instruction to make sure the course is well structured and that everything necessary gets covered in lessons.
I chose to work with LDC because everybody is different and the LD System offers great structure but allows for flexibility in lessons, so that you learn to drive safely at a rate that suits you. I aim to make every lesson enjoyable and as productive as possible. The LD System just helps me to do this more effectively. With good instruction and use of the LD System training materials, you could learn to drive more quickly than the average learner driver.
Lessons are always conducted in a calm, friendly and relaxed manner as I firmly believe in making pupils feel at ease. I highly recommend having regular 2 hour lessons or training more intensively. By learning intensively students find they retain more and learn at a quicker rate. Those who learn at a rate of only 1 hour a week generally find learning to drive will take a lot longer and ultimately will work out more expensive.
